Natalie Florence is a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist who brings warmth, authenticity, and deep clinical expertise to her work. As a mother, wife, and lifelong learner, Natalie understands the importance of feeling truly seen, understood, and accepted. She believes that meaningful healing occurs within safe, supportive relationships where all parts of a person are welcomed with compassion and curiosity.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in a holistic, somatic framework that is mindful of mind, body, emotions, and nervous system functioning. She works collaboratively with clients to foster greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and lasting change, helping them reconnect with themselves in ways that feel empowering and sustainable.
With extensive experience across a variety of mental health settings, Natalie has worked in child protection, crisis services, group homes, primary care, community mental health agencies, and private practice. Throughout her career, she has supported individuals experiencing complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and significant life transitions.
Natalie is comprehensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and has held leadership roles within community mental health organizations, including managing specialized Eating Disorders and DBT programs at a large mental health agency. Her clinical and leadership experience has provided her with a strong foundation in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs while fostering compassionate, evidence-based care.
Natalie has a particular interest in supporting individuals affected by Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), complex and developmental trauma, and chronic suicidality, as well as loved ones of those living with BPD. She is also passionate about supporting therapists, healthcare providers, and other helping professionals in managing the unique demands of their work.
She understands that change does not happen in isolation. Healing emerges when individuals feel safe enough to explore their experiences, process difficult emotions, and reconnect with their inherent strengths. Whether working with thought patterns, emotional experiences, trauma responses, or the body's stored memories, her goal is to help clients cultivate greater self-compassion, resilience, and a sense of possibility.
She is passionate about creating a therapeutic space where clients feel supported in moving toward meaningful and lasting transformation.
